How automations work

The building blocks: triggers that start a flow and responses that reply.

An automation (or 'flow') is a trigger plus a set of responses. When something happens on Instagram — a comment, a DM, a story reply — Tendrify runs the flow and messages the person automatically, 24/7.

Triggers

  • A comment on a specific post or reel (or any post)
  • A DM containing a keyword
  • A reply to your story
  • A mention of you in someone's story
  • A comment on your live video

Responses

  • An opening message with buttons
  • Image or card messages
  • A lead form that collects email/name
  • An 'ask to follow' gate before the payoff
  • A delayed follow-up message

Every flow has a Status toggle. A flow only runs when its status is on.
